MAJESCO ANNOUNCES ‘TURBO TURTLE ADVENTURE’ FOR GAME BOY® ADVANCE

Unique Title Further Diversifies Publisher’s 2002 Game Portfolio

EDISON, NJ, May 17, 2002 – Topsy-turvy adventure comes to Game Boy® Advance as Majesco, one of the fastest-growing publishers of interactive entertainment software, introduces Turbo Turtle Adventure.  Created by Swedish developer Iridon Interactive, Turbo Turtle Adventure is a fun, challenging and intense game that is slated to ship later this year.

“We are thrilled to be working with such a talented and on-the-rise developer as Iridon Interactive to deliver an exciting new gaming experience for the Game Boy Advance,” said Ken Gold, Vice President of Marketing for Majesco.  “Turbo Turtle Adventure’s unique puzzle-adventure game mechanics and cartoon-style design will appeal to gamers of all ages and skill levels.”

Björn Larsson, C.E.O. of Iridon continued; “We are delighted to bring Turbo Turtle Adventure to market working with such a well-respected publisher as Majesco. I am confident that we are bringing an entertaining and unique gameplay experience to the Game Boy® Advance.”

Turbo Turtle Adventure is a puzzle-adventure game based on the quest of Turbo Turtle, a loveable creature lost in uncharted waters and trapped on the treacherous Isle of Mazes. Grouped into seven ensnaring areas, the Isle of Mazes is inhabited by nasty traps and deceitful labyrinths which Turbo Turtle must defeat in order to win his freedom and swim to sea.

Viewed from a top-down perspective, Turbo Turtle Adventure allows players to assume the role of Turbo Turtle as they attempt to roll through carefully designed levels on the back of their replaceable turtle shell.  Stakes are high though, as players must explore the open-area worlds high above the ground without falling over the edge.

Game play is divided across a variety of themes such as jungle, space station, water, volcano caves, forest and more, and gamers can locate and activate “Secret Level” triggers to gain access to hidden areas.

Advanced levels feature a decreasing timer to make game play even more challenging as players utilize the turbo feature to beat their best time.  Strategic use of various collectable items, such as keys, jump and build items, and upgradeable shells allow players to complete additional puzzles.

Turbo Turtle Adventure is being publicly unveiled for the first time by Majesco in rooms 409A and 409B in Concourse Hall, Level 2, during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, May 22 – 24.
