The EA SPORTS MADDEN CHALLENGE is coming to a city near you!

This weekend the tour will hit up New York City (Saturday, Oct. 4) at South Street Port and Philly (Sunday, Oct. 5) at Gallery at Market East. Upcoming cities include Washington DC, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Charlotte, Miami, Tampa, Atlanta, New Orleans and many more.

EA SPORTS HOSTS NATIONWIDE MADDEN CHALLENGE Second nationwide tournament of world's best-selling football video game

WHAT: EA SPORTS Madden Challenge, a highly-competitive, thirty two-city tournament to decide the nation's best EA SPORTS Madden NFL player.

EA SPORTS Madden Challenge, the game's second sanctioned public competition in the game's celebrated 14-year history. Madden NFL, now featuring Madden NFL™ 2004, is America's best-selling sports video game.

WHEN: August 23rd-December 14th 2003, Finals January 16th-January 18th 2004

WHERE: 32 Cities across the nation starting in Chicago, Illinois and ending in San Francisco, California. Finals to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada

WHO: At 32 cities across the nation, 512 gamers per city will compete in the Madden Challenge on Madden NFL 2004. The champion from each city will proceed to compete for the prestigious title of Madden Challenge Champion. The stakes this year have been raised with a $50,000 grand prize being awarded to the overall Madden Challenge Champion. The finals will be held at a location to be determined in Las Vegas, Nevada.

HOW: To qualify for the Madden Challenge competition, players can register online at maddenchallenge.com, the official EA SPORTS Madden Challenge web site. The 512 competitors per city will be determined on a first-come, first-served basis. Online registration opens two weeks prior to each city's competition and close the Tuesday before the start of the competition. EA SPORTS will donate a portion of the proceeds from the Madden Challenge to NFL Youth Education Town.
