Top Ten Scary Games for Halloween
The leaves have changed and the nasty heat from this past summer has finally subsided, so that means that we are approaching Halloween. The time for copious amounts of candy, stomachaches and horror movie marathons on cable is nigh at hand. For those of us who want to get into the mood for this Halloween with some truly terrifying games, here are a few of my personal favorites:

 

Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Director’s Cut
A creepy ghost story, Fatal Frame 2 doesn’t give you much to go on storywise at first, but slowly unwraps a frightening yarn with plenty of jump-worthy moments.
BioShock
Not only is it one of the best games of the year, it’s also the most downright frightening experience you’re likely to have in a game this year. The fully-realized dystopian nightmare world of Rapture is filled with tons of frightening elements and brooding atmosphere.
Resident Evil
This remake managed to make this frightening game even scarier. The sense of atmosphere is ramped up courtesy of great lighting effects and terrifying monsters and zombies.
